How did you get into financial services?
While working for a CPA firm in Miami, I became interested in finding an opportunity that would allow me to expand how I can help people and grow professionally. I started at The Enrichment Group in 2001 in the Operations Department and broadened my career from there. In the financial planning field, I saw an opportunity to work more closely with clients to help them attain their financial goals, while also providing a better chance for me to grow professionally. Since becoming a Registered Paraplanner (RP®), I have been working alongside the Wealth Managers to obtain critical information, create and maintain our clients’ individual plans, and develop financial scenarios in real time.
What makes a good financial planner?
Having knowledge of financial planning concepts is crucial. But what makes someone a good financial planner is the ability to truly listen to clients’ needs and worries, and to communicate in a way that connects with them emotionally—so they know you understand.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is helping clients achieve their financial goals while guiding them to make wise choices. My work helps planners and clients make decisions about retirement planning, large purchases, Social Security benefits, life insurance, and much more. Together we work to ensure that clients are protected and that their goals are being fulfilled.
What do you do for fun?
My favorite pastimes are exercising and watching movies at home. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, including my furry-legged friends.
