What attracted you to the financial service industry?
I enjoy working with numbers. I find that financial planning is more interesting than accounting. It gives me the opportunity to interact with people by using my knowledge, multi-cultural diversity and experience to help them achieve their financial goals. I truly believe that financial literacy should be part of the public school curriculum for our youngsters at an early age. Eventually, they will be better equipped to make a budget and create their financial plan.
What is your favorite part of your job?
There is never a dull moment in my career. Every client is unique and special to me. I find it very rewarding knowing my client has achieved his/her financial goals. I can also learn from my clients when sharing their lifetime stories and experience. They are all part of my family and very precious to me!
What do you do for fun?
I enjoy music and love children. I sing in the choir, travel and teach Sunday School to children at church. Volunteering is important to me and how I give back to my community. I am a volunteer for the Junior Achievement of Greater Miami teaching financial literacy to high school students. I also dedicate my time as an IRS-certified volunteer (via VITA Coalition of Miami-Dade) to help people file their tax returns for free each year.
