What attracted you to the financial services industry?
My father was a small business owner and I saw the various financial issues and challenges people faced as I was growing up, and the immense impact they had on their lives. I was very interested in investments and my dad encouraged me to follow the stock market. He helped me pick my first stock in high school and I have maintained that interest ever since.
What is your favorite part of the job?
I enjoy helping clients pursue and meet their financial goals and relieve some of their stress about their future. Comprehensive financial planning can be very complex and time consuming, so being able to help them in this area is rewarding. It affords clients the time to focus on other matters in their busy lives.
What makes a good financial planner?
A good financial planner stays up to date regarding each client’s needs and goals and applies their ever-growing planning knowledge. As laws and financial conditions change, planners must constantly be learning and communicating with their clients and understanding their needs.
